Job Description

As a materials coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of critical materials to support our projects. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including material management, supplier quality surveillance, and construction, to identify and mitigate potential risks and delays.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively liaison between stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and internal teams. Additionally, they will be able to generate reports, maintain accurate tracking data, and perform data entry tasks with high proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate material orders and supervise personnel at a mid-management level, with oversight from Material Management.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions of purchase orders.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance, Engineering, and Construction.
  • Act as a liaison among Fluor, Suppliers, and Clients, as required.
  • Generate documents, organize files, and maintain tracking data and reports.
  • Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process, using approved corporate reference tools.
Requirements:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, and three (3) years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.
