Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer - Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud-based data infrastructure. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Develop robust ETL processes for ingesting, transforming, and storing data efficiently.
  • Manage and optimize relational databases to meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate data quality through validation, monitoring, and governance best practices.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools (Python, SQL, Bash) to streamline data workflows.
  • Ensure data is structured and accessible in reporting tools like Tableau or Metabase.
  • Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of data pipelines (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data engineering, working with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and experience building data pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools for data infrastructure automation.
