Research Reviewer Position

We are seeking researchers, retired researchers, and former researchers to conduct thorough manuscript evaluations for academic journals and publishers.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant subject area is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have at least two publications within the last two years in their field of expertise.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential for this position.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • The selected candidate will be expected to adhere to deadlines and manage time efficiently.
  • Confidentiality and objectivity are crucial aspects of this role.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is required.
Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate Novelty: Assess whether the manuscript adds new knowledge or insights to its field of study.
  2. Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Assess whether the study design and methods are comprehensive and clearly described to ensure accurate reproduction.
  3. Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates up-to-date research in its field.
  4. Analyse Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and appropriately, and whether the conclusions are supported by the data and significant to its field.
  5. Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer suggestions for improvement and highlight any flaws or ethical concerns.
  6. Recommend Publication: Based on evaluation, the journal editor will decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
