Test Engineer

Job Description

As a senior software tester, you will develop comprehensive test strategies, execute manual and automated tests, identify and resolve defects, and champion software quality. You will collaborate closely with developers to ensure that financial technology applications meet global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop detailed test plans and strategies based on project requirements and technical specifications. Ensure thorough test coverage that aligns with both business goals and quality standards.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test scripts. Leverage automation tools to increase test efficiency and coverage while applying manual testing techniques for complex scenarios.
  • Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects using standard bug tracking tools. Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
  • Requirements Analysis: Participate in requirement review meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle.
  • Regression and Performance Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely impact existing product features. Perform performance, load, and stress testing as needed.
  • Quality Advocacy: Promote a culture of quality throughout the development cycle. Provide input on process improvements and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Your daily tasks will involve developing test plans, executing manual and automated tests, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating closely with developers.
