About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a medical triage phone line, assessing and advising cabin crew on their health status, and providing guidance on self-limiting and self-care health problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 24/7 emergency line to assist staff with life-threatening medical conditions requiring emergency referrals
  • Assess and advise on the need for ambulance services and provide appropriate guidance
  • Provide medical clearance for Emirates passengers requiring fitness-to-fly assessments within the IATA framework
  • Review and approve FREMEC cards for passengers with chronic stable medical conditions
  • Advise on the appropriateness of excess baggage due to medical reasons
  • Review medical reports and health declaration forms of EK HR applicants for Fitness-to-Work purposes
  • Triaging laboratory results and taking appropriate action based on guidelines agreed with EK Clinic

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in Emergency Room or General Practice
  • Active Medical License to practice in the Philippines
  • Membership to a non-postgraduate college or equivalent
  • Experience in non-face-to-face clinical care settings preferred
