Job Description:

The role of a Tax Accountant involves preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and minimizing tax liabilities for the organization. This includes providing tax planning advice, preparing and filing tax returns, and representing during tax audits. The successful candidate will be required to stay current on tax law changes and provide informed financial decisions to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.

  • Preparing and maintaining financial records for two (2) entities
  • Preparation of necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns
  • Accurate and timely preparation of tax filings and payments and its applicable attachments
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and minimizing tax liabilities for the organization
  • Providing tax planning and advice
  • Navigating complex tax laws, identifying tax savings opportunities
  • Representing during tax audits – Preparing reconciliations and documentations for LOA received from tax office
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Assisting in Providing hedging data/cashflow data
  • Assisting in month end activities – Accruals, amortization, depreciation
  • Assisting in preparing specified balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting in financial reporting
  • Assisting in forecast process and all other corporate reporting
  • Other administrative tasks to support country manager, Finance Manager and Regional Finance Manager
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Tax Accountant, preferably within the IT Distribution industry
  • Solid hands-on experience managing tax audits, including preparation, communication with tax authorities, and audit defense strategies
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP for financial reporting, tax calculations, and compliance documentation
  • In-depth understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards relevant to the IT distribution sector
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax matters including VAT, corporate income tax, and cross-border tax issues common in IT distribution

This is a permanent and direct hire engagement with a hybrid arrangement; 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH. Office location is Makati, with a Monday to Friday dayshift schedule.
