Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at Deltek.

  • As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex business applications that support our global business units.
  • You will research and analyze business requirements to provide conceptual and detailed designs that meet the needs of various business applications, including HR, Finance, and Enterprise Applications.
  • Your role will involve all aspects of Agile development, including understanding business requirements and testing support to identify and mitigate issues.
  • You will apply your knowledge of systems and databases to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems using technical skills such as SQL and configuration setup.
  • You will participate in code reviews and change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications and updates to existing applications.
  • You will interface with third-party software vendors to escalate and resolve integration and software/technical issues.
  • You will maintain awareness of emerging tools, software practices, and technologies to improve solution cost and quality.
  • You will develop and maintain architectural documentation to sustain system integrity and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • You will collaborate with senior-level management, business owners, solution architects, business system analysts, project managers, and other engineers/developers to discuss technical options to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in an IT environment is required.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience as a developer and/or system engineer is required.
  • Experience leading complex projects/tasks is required.
  • You should have strong hands-on experience with a variety of code, interface, API, and database concepts.
  • Experience in full project life cycle development for systems and applications is required.
  • Experience integrating and customizing business applications is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels, is required.
  • A strong desire to learn the latest technologies and the ability to acquire knowledge quickly is required.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills are required.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with ERP, HRIS, and CRM and Case Management systems is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint is required.
  • Proficiency in web services, Rest APIs, string manipulation, SQL, and creating stored procedures using XML/JSON and SOAP/REST protocols is required.
  • Experience with integrations using tools such as Power Automate, UIPath, MuleSoft, and IBM AppConnect is required.
  • Possess knowledge of DBA tasks, including deployments, maintenance planning, string manipulation, and authoring SQL statements.
  • Experience using Source Code and Version Control Systems like Git is required.
  • Experience in cloud-based deployment of applications is required.
  • The ability to thrive in Deltek's fast-paced environment by multitasking on various projects is required.
  • Demonstrated creativity and a passion for process improvement are required.
  • A commitment to maintaining a positive work environment and high-performance standards is required.
  • Flexibility to take on tasks outside of one's core responsibilities and assist team members as needed is required.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision is required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams is required.
