About the Role

We're seeking an experienced product development strategist to drive overall transaction volume, digital acceleration, and profitable revenue growth for our portfolios. The successful candidate will have accountability for developing go-to-market strategies and implementing roadmaps. Key responsibilities include managing product life cycles, supporting markets with presentations and customized product development requests, and working closely with product counterparts and sales teams to ensure alignment with customer-focused strategies.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop comprehensive product and digital strategies, accelerating digitization across banking partners and exploring new payment flows.
  • Monitor competitive products and industry trends, understanding their implications for Mastercard and suggesting proactive measures as required.
  • Utilize local research to develop up-to-date communication strategies with consumers to engage them in successful acquisition, activation, and usage campaigns.
  • Develop best practice material for issuers and collaborate with internal teams to support the launch of programs and benefits.
  • Implement a 'Life Cycle Management' approach to enhance, modify, and upgrade products and benefits in line with market/issuer/segment needs.
  • Develop presentations to proactively highlight white space opportunities to issuers, market trends, and how Mastercard's solutions can drive product innovation.
  • Support markets and issuers in creating value propositions that leverage key features of existing and/or new product platforms.
  • Support markets with customized product development requests and demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Possess industry knowledge and networking capabilities, exhibit analytical thinking, and maintain a customer focus.
