Job Title: Senior Construction Estimator

The Construction Estimator is a crucial role that reviews plans, performs takeoffs and creates detailed estimates of the scope. The estimate serves as a critical component in defining the project management team's scope of work and controlling construction costs.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to gather and organize all available information related to the project.
  • Identify missing or conflicting scope/detail related to successful constructability of the project.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for various aspects of commercial construction projects using On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam software.
  • Assist with construction document/plan/spec review, redlining and requests for information.
  • Utilize digital takeoff tools to highlight the scope of work.
  • Estimate components of the scope of work such as material, labor and equipment required to complete project.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with project management teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or similar fields preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction, its components and construction processes.
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with US-based clients is a plus.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Planswift or similar software is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and communicate effectively.
