Collaborative Publishing Support Specialist

Support the development and promotion of children's books by working closely with the founder to bring creative ideas to life. Assist in managing book creation, collaborating with illustrators and ghostwriters, and coordinating the marketing and publishing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for the development of children's books from concept to publication
  • Coordinate with freelancers, including illustrators and ghostwriters, to deliver high-quality content
  • Review and provide feedback on drafts to maintain quality standards
  • Organize and maintain book-related files and documentation to ensure efficiency

Marketing & Advertising Support:

  • Assist in promotional efforts, including basic advertising and content preparation for listings
  • Help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms to increase visibility

Publishing Support:

  • Research best practices for self-publishing platforms and assist in formatting manuscripts for publication
  • Monitor sales, royalties, and promotional results to inform future strategies

Requires at least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus). Strong organizational and communication skills, experience collaborating with creatives, self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, comfortable working independently in a startup environment, and familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
