About the Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned electrical engineer to lead and inspire our team, drive business growth, and contribute to the development of innovative design solutions. As a Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and managing firm-wide design processes, providing design direction and support, guiding strategy for design presentations, and supervising the implementation of the design process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and embody the company's mission, vision, and goals through design leadership and strategic guidance.
  • Establish and implement a design approach that focuses on client expectations, team collaboration, and consistent high-quality design outcomes.
  • Develop and manage firm-wide design processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company core values.
  • Provide design direction and support to ensure consistent, high-quality design firm-wide.
  • Guide strategy for design presentations with leadership and supervise the implementation of the design process at the beginning of project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design, with completion of PE Exam required and licensure in state of Tennessee preferred.
  • Proven track record as a lead designer on various project scales and complexities, including experience with programming, site analysis, all phases of design, and contract administration.
  • Effective graphic, verbal, and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic, understanding basic electrical, spatial, and building code concepts, and proficiency in current design software.
