Job Title

A skilled OT platform engineer is required to join our team in the Natural Resources industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain OpenShift clusters in on-prem production environments with a strong focus on security and scalability.
  • Design and implement secure tunneling solutions for deployment instructions between network levels, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.
  • Establish robust air gap transfer strategies for code and artifacts, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access or data breaches.
  • Implement Humanitec with ArgoCD for GitOps-style deployments, incorporating on-prem networking constraints and ensuring high availability.
  • Create staging environments that accurately mirror production on-prem systems in AWS, facilitating efficient testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to design and implement defense-in-depth strategies, protecting against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement robust change management processes for on-prem deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies appropriate for each Purdue Model level, guaranteeing business continuity and resilience.
Main Qualifications:
  • Must-have skills and experience:
  • Strong background in air-gapped and segmented network architectures, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
  • Experience with secure artifact management (JFrog Artifactory preferred), utilizing advanced security features and best practices.
  • Understanding of on-prem limitations (disconnected, latency, bandwidth constraints), allowing for effective planning and execution.
  • Experience with manual deployment processes and change control, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
  • Familiarity with vSphere and on-premises virtualization, enabling efficient infrastructure management.
  • Desirable skills and experience:
  • Understanding of the Purdue Model and ISA-95 standards, enhancing knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience with mining or heavy industry operational environments, providing valuable insights and context.
  • Experience with industrial control systems and SCADA environments, expanding skillset and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of redundant system design for high availability, ensuring critical systems remain operational.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.), facilitating seamless integration and communication.
  • Experience with staging/production environment separation in OT, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443), ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of OT-specific security requirements and compliance standards, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
  • Container Platforms: OpenShift (On-prem) and EKS (AWS)
  • Infrastructure: On-premises VMware vSphere, Docker Swarm
