Software Engineer Role Overview

This position involves developing, customizing and optimizing Zoho applications across the entire Zoho ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills combined with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Zoho Application Development:
    • Create, configure and integrate Zoho Creator applications, custom HTML pages and CRM canvas views.
    • Develop error-free, functional applications tailored to project requirements using Deluge script, APIs and widgets.
  • Client Support & Communication:
    • Provide Help Desk support for Zoho applications via phone and email.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to address system changes, troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support.
    • Assist with client onboarding, including form design, training and guidance.
  • Integration & Migration:
    • Implement integrations with systems like Stripe, Xero, Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory.
    • Migrate data accurately using Zoho Analytics.
  • Training & Documentation:
    • Prepare user guides, training materials and marketing documents.
    • Document project workflows, timesheets and milestones.
  • General Administration:
    • Manage user accounts, setup and troubleshoot.
    • Follow up on Zoho support tickets and store client documents securely.
  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate on task estimations and project requirements in Zoho Projects.
    • Update task statuses, milestones and deliverables in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will work on diverse projects across multiple Zoho applications requiring expertise and excellent communication skills.

Requirements:
  • Zoho Ecosystem Expertise:
    • Familiarity with Zoho One, CRM, Creator, Books, Inventory, Desk, Flow, Forms, Sign, Writer and Zoho Analytics.
    • Experience with Deluge script development and API integrations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong coding skills in HTML, JavaScript and other relevant programming languages.
    • Data migration and reconciliation experience.
    • Ability to configure third-party integrations.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Professional phone manner for client interactions.
    • Ability to prepare clear, concise training materials.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
    • Rigorous testing capabilities to resolve system issues.
    • Ability to improve and optimize workflows and configurations.
  • Client-Facing Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal skills for client engagement during onboarding and support.
    • Experience designing client onboarding processes and providing training.
  • Project Management Skills:
    • Proficiency in using Zoho Projects or similar tools to manage tasks and timelines.
    • Detail-oriented approach to updating documentation and timesheets.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
    • Adaptability to perform various administrative and technical tasks based on business needs.
