Mortgage Broker Support Specialist

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to work in the mortgage brokerage industry, supporting brokers with loan applications and providing exceptional administrative support.

Job Description:
  • Supporting the broker throughout the loan application process.
  • Assisting brokers at all stages of the loan process, from initial contact through to settlement.
  • Providing high-level executive and administrative support to mortgage brokers and their applications.
  • Requesting client information and liaising directly with clients to gather supporting documentation.
  • Conducting needs analysis, serviceability assessments, product assessment, and funding position based on clients' objectives and situations.
  • Researching lender policies.
  • Preparing loan comparisons.
  • Preparing and packaging client loan applications and ensuring data entry requirements are accurate and all supporting documentation meets bank requirements.
  • Lender follow-up and status reporting.
  • Taking ownership of compliance-related matters, ensuring all documentation and data is captured in the CRM system.
  • Completing loan serviceability, ordering valuations, preparing forms (FHOG forms, Discharge requests, etc), gathering rate quotes, arranging loan doc execution, and arranging settlements with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years Australian experience supporting a mortgage broker or banking/lending industry is advantageous.
  • Experience with Aggregator CRM software and Applyonline/Simpology (LoanApp) lodgment systems.
  • Passion for delivering quality client outcomes.
  • Understanding of data privacy, the Australian Best Interest Duty, and Responsible Lending, and the broker's obligations under this legislation.
  • Accountable and accurate work practices.
  • Understanding of mortgage terminology and the end-to-end loan application process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment.
  • Well-presented and detail-oriented individual.
  • Ability to understand financial documents, bank credit policy, and assess PAYG applications.
  • Strong team player with a solid work ethic.
  • IT savvy with ability to learn software quickly.
  • Highly organized and proficient at multitasking.
