Technical Architect Job Description

The Technical Architect is accountable for the end-to-end application design and technical implementation, including overall responsibility for related actions taken and completion of technical deliverables across project phases.

This role handles the execution and implementation of one or more projects of varying degrees of size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop solution designs that meet business requirements, incorporating infrastructure and application architecture, and integration components.
  • Evaluate technical requirements to develop high-level specifications and detailed technical activities with estimated timelines.
  • Manage SIT, UAT, and Prod implementation activities to ensure all components adhere to bank standards.
  • Perform capacity planning in coordination with stakeholders for projects handled.
  • Set up test environments and address identified risks, issues, and audit findings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar function, with 5 years of experience leading a technical team and delivering solutions.
  • Experience in financial institutions and banking concepts or related training is preferred.
  • Solution delivery life cycle, advanced analysis and design, COBOL, CICS, JAVA/.NET, SQL programming, and project management skills are essential.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, analytical abilities, and oral and written English communication skills are required.
