Job Summary

Senior Controller Position

This senior controller position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial management cycle, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and month-end close processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controllership, financial planning & analysis, and reporting, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis. Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation is also essential.

This role requires exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, as well as strong communication skills to present financial information to non-financial audiences. The ability to work effectively in a remote setup is also necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business objectives.
  • Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and present management reports, highlighting key business drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Mentor and lead a remote finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in controllership, financial planning & analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear insights.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc. preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote / Work from Home setup.
