As an experienced accountant, you will maintain key financial records with strong organisational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record transactions in cloud-based accounting software, including income and outgoings, and post them to various accounts.
  • Process payroll through the accounting system, prepayments, accruals, fixed asset coding, and reconciliations.
  • Manage supplier invoices in a document management tool, prepare business activity statements (BAS) / instalment activity statement (IAS), and process end-of-year payroll reporting.
  • Reconcile workers compensation estimates and actual declarations, and review financial performance reports each month.
  • Proactively identify potential risks for clients and the business based on data and observations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Finance or Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
  • Three years or more of experience in Australian accounts, with knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting tools such as Xero and Hubdoc, and Microsoft Office applications.
