We believe in the power of fractional sales tax services to eliminate the hassle and risk associated with sales tax compliance. As a Sales Tax Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clients' needs are met each month.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sales Tax Filings: Prepare and submit accurate sales tax filings, working closely with clients to ensure their data is up-to-date and compatible with our tax software.
  • Tax Collection Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze tax collection variances, identifying issues and resolving them with clients whenever possible.
  • Time-Critical Issue Resolution: Assist clients in resolving time-sensitive issues related to assessments, collections, and past due returns, working closely with sales tax authorities when necessary.
  • Special Client Projects: Assist with submitting late or amended sales tax returns, managing audits, and updating clients' company information with states.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ Years of Accounting or Audit Experience: A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, with experience in sales tax compliance a plus.
  • Multi-Client Mastery: Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excel/Google Sheets Expertise: Proficiency in using spreadsheets to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
