Quality Rater Job Description

The role of a quality rater involves evaluating online content in the local language using proprietary rating systems and guidelines. Raters review web pages, links, and questions, sometimes conducting additional online research to ensure accurate assessments.

This is a flexible, remote work opportunity that typically requires 5–20 hours per week. Tasks are completed using a personal computer or mobile device.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate information presented in the rater's local language based on provided guidelines and instructions.
  • Log onto online proprietary rating system(s), which may vary by specific rating programs.
  • Use own computer, tablet, and/or smartphone to complete tasks (approximately 5–20 hours per week). Remote work.
  • Perform ratings in an analytical manner and demonstrate familiarity with various online research tools.
  • Provide occasional comments in English when required.
Evaluation Tasks
  • All tasks take the form of a web page with information, links, and questions for the rater to answer.
  • Some tasks require outside research on the web; some do not.
  • Some tasks require the Rater to work with mobile smartphones (Android or iOS).
  • The Rater completes the task, submits it to the system, and then receives another task to continue the process.
Guidelines and Training
  • Guidelines and system instructions are provided in English.
  • Training is administered by the selected supplier.
