Job Description:
  1. Provide ongoing support on corporate governance, legal compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory matters;
  2. Oversee legal due diligence, identifying and addressing legal risks, providing actionable advice to mitigate legal issues;
  3. Implement effective action plans in response to legal and compliance issues;
  4. Draft and review legal documentation to ensure compliance with the updated laws, rules, regulations, and policies;
  5. Liaise with regulatory institutions such as the SEC, AMLC, and NPC on all legal compliance matters;
  6. Conduct trainings in relation to Anti-Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Privacy Laws, and all other related policies, rules, regulations, and laws;
  7. Report directly to the Group Head of Legal, Compliance, and Sustainability.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compliance Officer/Data Protection Officer registered with the SEC/AMLC/NPC or its equivalent in the Payment or Merchant Acquirer or Financial Institutions industries;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law; a Master's degree is a plus but not required;
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills as well as good independent judgment;
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership and to advise and influence leadership would be an advantage;
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications.
