The Group Pricing Specialist plays a pivotal part in driving business growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies. This role is integral to our Corporate Solutions and Alternative Distribution Team, focusing on generating new business proposals, reviewing existing group clients, and providing actionable insights to improve client profitability.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing data analytics and sound pricing judgment to create competitive new business proposals that meet set turnaround times. You will work closely with the sales, group administration, and products teams to ensure alignment and provide recommendations on pricing strategies and operational efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities
- Generate competitive new business proposals using data-driven insights and market trends, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Analyze and review the profitability and claims experience of current group clients, providing actionable recommendations to improve client outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies, improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Conduct peer-to-peer reviews of proposals generated, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to industry standards.
About You
- A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Applied Math.
- Prior experience in generating corporate proposals in life insurance or HMO, preferably with 2+ years of relevant experience in actuarial science or data analytics.
- Experience in pricing and underwriting focused on group insurance products, with a strong understanding of actuarial principles and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and ability to make sound pricing judgments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high sense of business ethics and professionalism.
