Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the reliability and performance of our backend systems and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex infrastructure environments, particularly within Microsoft-based ecosystems. They will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining infrastructure performance, conducting proactive analysis, and collaborating with IT teams to configure and troubleshoot systems.

This role also involves participating in the optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using scripting tools. Additionally, they will provide support in setting up and maintaining RESTful API integrations and network connectivity to ensure application stability and responsiveness.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and between 1-3 years of experience in software engineering. They will be proficient in object-oriented development and have knowledge of Java frameworks, architecture, and design patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance for cloud-based (Azure), on-premises, and integrated third-party systems
  • Conduct proactive analysis of backend environments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or potential issues related to capacity, security, and overall performance
  • Lead execution of database-related tasks including replication, mirroring, backups, tuning, and disk space management
  • Collaborate with IT teams to configure, enhance, and troubleshoot systems across backend networks, databases, infrastructure, and application layers
  • Participate in the optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using scripting tools such as PowerShell and ARM templates
  • Provide support in setting up and maintaining RESTful API integrations and network connectivity to ensure application stability and responsiveness
  • Track and manage incidents through root cause analysis and escalation protocols to ensure minimal service interruption
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience developing server-side web applications in Java
  • Experience developing Java Web Services with public API (e.g. REST, SOAP)
  • Experience with relational (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Proficient in object-oriented development
  • Able to effectively and quickly adopt new technology
  • Knowledge of Java frameworks, architecture, and design patterns
  • Good communication skills
