The Opportunity

You will be an active contributor to our team, reviewing designs, ensuring platform stability, scalability and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain production stability by writing scripts, debugging issues and resolving defects reported through interactions or monitoring tools.
  • Participate in planning, code reviews and contribute to a high performing team.
  • Be an active member of the product development team in planning new features.
  • Owning component(s) of the platform ensures it meets quality standards.
  • Build software that conforms to engineering best practices, write well-documented and readable code with automated tests.
  • Stay updated in current technologies and recommend where appropriate.

Candidates Must Have:

  • Experience in RoR/GoLang, PostgresQL and AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of database designs including relational and non-relational.
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git and Github.
  • DevOps/TechOps experience.
  • Designed and deployed an API or microservice to a production environment.
  • Excellent understanding of HTTP, RESTful APIs, JSON, JWT, CORS, websockets and application routing.
  • Containerization and orchestration technology experience.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning.

Preferred Candidates:

  • Event-driven architecture experience.
  • Developed tools to multiply team effectiveness.
  • Exhibited good judgement in recommending and adopting new technologies.
