Test Automation Lead

Lead Automation Engineer

We seek an experienced Test Automation Lead to join our remote team. This role involves leading test automation efforts for complex ERP solutions in the public sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test strategies, mentoring QA team members, and driving innovative solutions to solve testing challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain custom test automation frameworks using C# and Playwright.
  • Develop data management strategies using database manipulation and SQL Server proficiency.
  • Mentor team members on framework-specific patterns and best practices.
  • Collaborate on compile-time consistency strategies across the stack.
  • Automate end-to-end tests for UI and API workflows using testing frameworks like Playwright and Selenium.
  • Design and implement test automation architecture using Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and GitHub.
  • Perform cross-browser testing and develop a comprehensive automation strategy for the ERP system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation for multi-platform web-based applications, preferably in complex ERP systems.
  • Experience with C# to TypeScript code generation workflows, SQL Server setup/management, and Mercurial source control.
  • NUnit testing framework expertise and understanding of robot pattern implementations.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like C#, Java, and TypeScript, with ability to write modular maintainable code.
  • Experience designing and executing functional UI, backend, and API-based manual and automated tests.
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes, security testing, and performance testing is preferred.
