Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of robust test automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, programming skills, and experience with automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective test automation scripts, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Lead the planning of testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with project goals.
  • Test Case Development: Independently design, develop, and implement automated test strategies and test cases with minimal supervision.
  • Debugging: Use debugging techniques to identify root causes of complex issues uncovered through automated testing.
  • Bug Reporting: Accurately document bugs with essential details, using the bug tracking system effectively.
  • Version Control (Git): Manage and track changes in code repositories efficiently.
  • Programming Languages: Utilize intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript) to write test scripts or understand code for test automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail to identify even minor issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze root causes of defects found during testing and make recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future.
  • Communication Skills: Report issues effectively and collaborate with the development team.
  • Automation Strategy: Identify opportunities for automation within assigned testing areas, propose enhancements to the overall automation strategy, and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in automation testing tools and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in software testing or a related field, with a strong background in test automation.
  • Core Testing Principles: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of core testing principles and methodologies.
  • Automated Testing: Experience with automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Programming Skills: Possesses strong programming skills in scripting languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
  • Testing Framework: Experience using Playwright with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) as testing framework.
  • Analytical Thinking: Is a strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Time Zone: Availability to work under EST timezone.
