Securities Lending Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in the role of Securities Lending.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain subject expertise, providing input as required.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve issues and minimize exposure, including the Securities Lending Trade desk.
  • Maintain good working relationships with borrowers and collateral Tri-party agents.
  • Act as a process expert in International and Domestic markets where trade settlement & Collateral teams operate.
  • Maintain risk management and control activities for the assigned group.
  • Build effective working relationships with off-shore partners and other relevant partner areas.
  • Provide hands-on training for new staff and cross-training for experienced staff.
  • Ensure response/resolution is completed within established deadlines/SLDs and apply appropriate priority levels to key client deliverables.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of procedures to maintain highest possible efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Assist clients, partners, and staff with complex problem resolution, maintaining technical knowledge of Securities Lending Operations and how the function relates to other operating areas.
  • Collect and provide MIS data.
  • Participate/drive projects at Division or Practice level as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Securities Lending Trade Lifecycle.
  • Good working knowledge or experience in Asset Servicing; knowledge or prior experience in Securities lending, settlements, and collateral management would be an advantage.
  • Overall understanding of the risk associated with Lending domain in specific and Asset Servicing practice in general.
  • Attention to detail and ability to carry out quality checks and report the same.
  • Operational knowledge on systems such as GSL, CREST, Euroclear, TLM would be preferable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach and team player.
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure situations.
  • Understanding of Driving Performance concepts.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple deadlines with minimum supervision, escalating issues where necessary.
