The Third Party Risk Intern will be part of this team and will perform various tasks such as sanction screening, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and corruption due diligence processes. The intern will also maintain procedures and controls to mitigate compliance risk.

The key areas of support provided to team members include risk management, communications, audits, training, process capability/process improvement, and compliance general support. Some of the specific activities include data quality validations, database reconciliations, performing due diligence processes for third parties, and translating vendor names from Chinese, Japanese, or Korean to English.

Other responsibilities of the intern include updating Excel databases with metrics/KPIs for tracking purposes and performing ad hoc tasks or projects related to third-party or sanctions compliance programs. Additionally, the intern will seek to continuously learn and improve knowledge and skills by identifying developmental opportunities with their supervisor and participate in appropriate training sessions.

This role requires excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, as well as proficiency in any of the following languages: Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The ideal candidate should be proactive, results-driven, detail-oriented, and have strong analytical, problem-solving, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
