Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team.

  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and procedures, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate financial statements.
  • The successful candidate will also possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements, and maintaining general ledger systems.
  • Maintaining and balancing automated consolidation systems by inputting data, scheduling required jobs, and verifying data.
  • Preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
  • Developing and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
  • Providing accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information, converting data to a general ledger system, obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
  • Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Achieving accounting and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in the related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar position.
  • Experience in the real estate management sector is preferred.
  • Yardi Voyager experience is required.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft applications.
  • Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
