Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant/Supervisor to join our team.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for collaborating with clients and team members.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and managing accounting processes, reviewing the work of bookkeeping and accounting staff, and supporting CFOs in leveraging financial data for strategic consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain a structured close workbook, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Review and oversee the work of bookkeeping and accountant-level team members.
  • Analyze Income Statements and Balance Sheets to identify errors, anomalies, or unusual trends, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Demonstrate expertise in not only closing the books but also designing and implementing a month-end close process tailored to our clients' needs.
  • Work closely with CFOs to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making through detailed cash flow analyses and financial consulting.
  • Become client-facing by participating in consulting meetings, delivering financial analyses, and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Design, implement, and manage accounting processes in alignment with client's best practices and accounting standards.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, mentor junior team members, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new software systems, working efficiently across multiple platforms, including QBO, Bill.com, Excel, and others.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey financial insights and recommendations to clients and team members.
  • Manage multiple client deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in annual in-person team-building conferences to strengthen collaboration and contribute to a positive team culture.
