Procurement Professional

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Professional to support our inventory planning and procurement initiatives. This role involves taking ownership of day-to-day procurement operations, including purchasing, managing vendor relationships, tracking orders and data, handling contracts and payments, and generating reports to support cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Vendor Management:
  • Timely and accurate placement of purchase orders.
  • Negotiating PO terms with vendors to reach acceptable agreements.
  • Monitoring vendors' compliance with agreed ship dates.
  • Tracking all orders and shipments to ensure correct and on-time delivery of goods.
  • Closely partnering with the Operations team and external partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of inventory plans.
  • Data Analysis and Management:
  • Creating, managing, and auditing large data sets in support of various Planning and Procurement functions.
  • Supporting the Planning team in the execution of demand forecasting and supply planning.
  • Partnering with merchant teams in planning for New Product Introductions.
  • Collaborating with the Operations team in shipment scheduling and warehouse allocation.
  • Transferring and implementing data between various systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Operating system-based processes and procedures for planning, order management, purchasing, and supply chain.
  • Driving automation and documentation of planning functions and processes.
  • Contract and Payment Administration:
  • Developing effective communication strategies and maintaining good business relations with vendors.
  • Monitoring the purchasing mailbox and serving as the point of contact for vendors on all PO concerns.
  • Assisting the merchandising team with vendor onboarding.
  • Maintaining records of vendor contracts and insurance certificates.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Submitting PO, commission, and/or sample payments due for approval.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and agents.
  • Reconciling records of payments and chargebacks.
  • Coordinating vendor requests for new or changed bank account information to the accounting team for verification.
  • Performance Analysis:
  • Developing clear and actionable reports and presentations.
  • Supporting teams and other functions through ad hoc analysis and projects.
  • Adapting skills as new tools and solutions are introduced.
