The successful candidate will provide legal counsel on corporate governance, employment policies, labor law compliance, and workplace dispute resolution while navigating complex legal landscapes in both US and Philippine jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, employment law, and labor relations in the Philippines.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, employment agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, including employee rights, termination procedures, and dispute resolution.
  • Support corporate structuring, mergers & acquisitions, and due diligence initiatives.
  • Represent businesses in labor disputes, mediations, and regulatory proceedings in the Philippines.
  • Leverage US paralegal expertise to enhance legal documentation, case management, and compliance tracking.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with government agencies in the Philippines.
  • Collaborate with US attorneys on case preparation, legal research, document drafting, and evidence retention.
  • Conduct comprehensive case law research and summarize findings.
  • Effectively manage case files, client correspondence, and deadlines.
  • Provide support to attorneys in trial preparation, hearings, and depositions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in the Philippines (BAR admission required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in corporate law and labor/employment law.
  • Previous experience as a US paralegal or in a US law firm/legal department.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, employment contracts, and labor relations in Philippine jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of DOLE regulations, NLRC procedures, and US labor laws (EEOC, FLSA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
  • Proficiency in legal software, case management tools, Microsoft Office, etc.
