Job Overview

This is a critical engineering role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and securing IT infrastructure.

It includes focusing on Windows environments, Microsoft 365 services, Azure cloud, Intune endpoint management and Defender security tools. The engineer will work closely with IT leadership to ensure enterprise systems' reliability, security and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS/DHCP.
  • Microsoft Services Management
  • Oversee and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management.
  • Endpoint Security and Management
  • Deploy and optimize Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Support
  • Support and maintain cloud infrastructure within Azure, including virtual machines, networking and security configurations.
  • Cybersecurity Implementation
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint, identity and cloud security.
  • Work with Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance, data governance and security policies.
  • Automation and Innovation
  • Assist in implementing security best practices, vulnerability management and patching strategies.
  • Automate IT processes using PowerShell, Azure Automation and other scripting tools.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates or similar.
  • Collaboration and Documentation
  • Provide technical support for escalated infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor system performance, availability and security through proactive monitoring tools.
  • Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 years of IT infrastructure engineering experience, focusing on Microsoft technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365 services and Azure environments.
  • Experience with Intune for device and application management.
  • Familiarity with security tools like Microsoft Defender and compliance solutions like Purview.
  • Exposure to scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are advantageous.
