Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud security group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, leading the implementation and optimization of cloud security solutions, and providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement secure cloud architectures using Azure services such as Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Purview, and DLP/AIP.
  2. Lead the implementation and optimization of cloud security solutions across complex client environments.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  4. Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures.
  5. Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure the secure deployment of Azure resources.
  6. Monitor and respond to security incidents using Log Analytics and SIEM tools.
  7. Support identity and access management initiatives, including IAM, PIM, and Access Packages.
  8. Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, and best practices.
  9. Contribute to automation efforts using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline security operations.
  10. Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives.
  11. Provide guidance on secure architecture and design patterns in Azure.
  12. Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure security tools and services, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure Policy, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender suite.
  • Familiarity with third-party IAM and security tools, such as Okta and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, risk assessment, and incident remediation techniques, including HIPAA/HITRUST, FedRAMP, NIST, PCI DSS, CJIS, and more.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Networking, Compute, and Storage services.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management in Azure environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate certification is required.
