Cyber Security Analyst (DFIR/Forensics)

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate high-severity incident responses across teams.
  • Collect evidence, perform data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with IT and security teams to address security incidents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes.
  • Analyze packet captures using network protocol analyzers.
  • Perform endpoint analysis, live response and memory collection.
  • Proactively search for threats and vulnerabilities within the environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
  • Identify potential risks through threat intelligence analysis.
  • Formulate response and recovery steps for security incidents.
  • Review and improve incident response processes and playbooks.
  • Document incidents, response actions and lessons learned.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and executive summaries.
  • Participate in incident response calls and post-incident reviews.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-level responders.
Requirements
  • Digital forensics experience to investigate incidents.
  • Proficiency in SIEM solutions like Splunk or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with EDR/XDR solutions like CrowdStrike or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of security principles, techniques and technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems and security technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automating tasks and processes.
  • 5+ years of security related experience in areas such as Security Operations, Incident Response and Forensic Investigation.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to learn quickly.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operations center with shift work required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze complex incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree relevant to Information Technology.
  • Related Certification such as CEH, CHFI or equivalent.
