Are you fluent in two languages and passionate about helping others communicate effectively? We are seeking a skilled Remote Bilingual Interpreter to join our team.

Job Description

We offer the opportunity to work from home as an independent interpreter, providing consecutive interpretation services over the phone or via video call. Our ideal candidate is highly proficient in English and one other language, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consecutive interpretation services for clients in various industries;
  • Work independently from a home office setting, using own equipment and software;
  • Maintain accurate records of interpreted conversations and meetings;
  • Demonstrate a high level of cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse communication styles;
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance interpretation skills.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • Highly proficient in both English and the target language (speaking, listening, reading);
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field (interpreting, translation, customer service);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in linguistics, communications, or a related field;
  • Certification in interpretation or translation (e.g., ATA, NCIHC);
  • Experience working with diverse client populations and cultures.
