Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy and proper approvals before payment
  • Verify invoice details, match invoices with purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers
  • Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and update the general ledger
  • Communicate with vendors to address billing discrepancies and confirm payment schedules
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve outstanding balances with vendors
  • Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities
  • Generate and send customer invoices, monitor customer accounts for overdue payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Apply customer payments, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain organized records of all receivables
  • Work with customers to resolve billing issues and negotiate payment arrangements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience communicating with vendors and clients to resolve payment issues
