Job Overview

This is a hybrid role that requires spending time in the office at least one day a week to facilitate collaboration and title review.

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Lending Professional to join our team. You will collect, review, and verify documents to close Home Equity Investments (HEIs), assist clients with questions, and ensure all conditions are met for a smooth closing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review title reports for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility to ensure a clear path forward.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring an application to a successful close.
  • Determine curative steps for a clear title by reviewing entity documents, trust documents, and divorce decrees to resolve any issues.
  • Obtain documentation required to clear the title report and secure Point's lien position through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Manage the processor pipeline within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet client expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, title agencies, docket partners, and outside agencies to ensure seamless coordination.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in U.S. mortgage processing, title curative, closing, or escrow work is preferred, with knowledge of common credit underwriting standards and ability to evaluate income, assets, and title reports.
  • Familiarity with mortgage modifications and resolving title issues is a plus, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service are essential.
