Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of the Digital Technology team, you will design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and services with a strong focus on Node.js and GraphQL.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Node.js, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures. Additionally, they will have a proven expertise in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs, including schema design, query optimization, and security best practices.

  • Backend Development: Develop, implement, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Node.js and GraphQL.
  • API Design and Integration: Build high-performance GraphQL APIs and integrate them with frontend and external services.
  • System Architecture: Design and implement robust backend architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Data Management: Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure optimal data storage and retrieval processes.
  • Code Quality and Best Practices: Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented code. Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high standards across the team.
  • Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve complex backend issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Node.js development, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
  • Expertise: Proven expertise in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs, including schema design, query optimization, and security best practices.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript, with the ability to write clear, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Database Management: Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, with a strong understanding of data storage and retrieval processes.
