We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data integration solutions that ensure accurate data delivery to systems.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business and data requirements, define solution approaches, design and implement ETL components, and ensure the team follows best practices of ETL development.
In this role, you will leverage monitoring tools to track status of ETL Pipelines for performance and completion, develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and insert data into and from the Datawarehouse, and engage with Business Analyst & Technical Architects to clarify business requirements and offer recommendations for improvements.
You will also contribute to defining a scalable data warehouse architecture, coordinate production, development and sandbox environments, and participate in peer code reviews.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for providing coaching and guidance to junior team members on technologies and processes, supporting and recommending testing and UAT for work being delivered, and participating in routine maintenance, performance tuning and support of ETL and the DW Environment.
Requirements- At least 2 years of IT experience required in working with ETL in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge in ETL Design methodologies including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, monitoring and alerting.
- Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Matillion, Talend, etc.).
- Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and ability to represent data using standard modelling techniques.
- Proficient with SQL and stored procedures.
- Experience in working with at least one of these warehouse technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift.
- Ability to deliver work to schedule (self-manage workload and priorities).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
