Job Title

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced mechanical drafter to support our engineering and manufacturing teams.

About the Role
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Maintain project files systematically on the SolidWorks server.
  • Apply appropriate GD&T standards and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify complex 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Review and validate drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to revision control procedures.
  • Support the development and documentation of Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Prepare standard drawings, installation instructions, and assembly guides.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An Associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in roles requiring SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • High proficiency in 2D and 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks, including assemblies, part modeling, and drawing generation.
  • Excellent file management and project organization skills, with the ability to maintain clear and systematic documentation.
  • Prior experience with scaffolding, guard railing systems, or similar mechanical structures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and industry standards such as ASME Y14.5.
