The Tax Client Specialist is responsible for overseeing nexus reviews, permit applications, permit closures, offboarding, tax settings, and new sales channels.

You will organize transaction data, compile nexus information, update tax software, and oversee the sales tax permit application process, communicating effectively with clients.

  • Manage changes to existing client accounts and move projects through the workflow in a timely manner.
  • Assist clients and their Sales Tax Accountants with issues related to tax settings, platforms, permits, and offboarding.
  • Analyze factors to determine nexus obligations; collaborate with Onboarding Specialist to review and present results before client meetings when ready.
  • Update and test tax collection settings on platforms for permit start/end dates.
  • Manage permit closures, final billings, paperwork, and system removals; ensure a positive end experience.
  • Provide support across listed areas to maximize onboarding efficiency.
  • Primary contact for billing-related changes or issues across all clients.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements with the Onboarding Team.
