Business Development Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to conduct outbound calls to Australian businesses, generate interest, and qualify prospects for our innovative solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make pure outbound calls to targeted prospects from a provided lead list
  • Use provided templates and training materials to introduce our value proposition
  • Qualify prospects against our ideal customer profile (training provided)
  • Book qualified discovery/demo calls into the founder's calendar
  • Record activities, notes, and outcomes in a CRM system
  • Follow up on no-shows and rebook where possible

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of pure outbound sales experience
  • Proven track record with measurable KPIs, including daily calls, meetings booked, quota achievement, target ICP, and show/close rates where applicable
  • Strong track record in cold calling and prospecting
  • Experience with SMB-focused sales in Western markets
  • Familiarity with sales tools: CRM, VoIP phone systems, productivity apps
  • Youthful enthusiasm and resilience in handling rejection
  • Energetic and confident on the phone
  • Coachable and eager to learn new skills
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on growth
