Job Title

Cloud Engineer is a highly skilled professional responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, reliable and secure cloud environments to support applications and services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud architectures, particularly AWS; proficiency in administering AWS services such as ECS, CloudFront, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch, IAM, and more.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Skills: Develop and maintain automated pipelines, integrating tools to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Continuous Deployment (CD): Design and manage complex cloud environments, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
  • Containers: Implement Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions and use CloudWatch, CloudWatch Events/Alarms, syslogs, and other cloud analytics tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate tasks using IaC with tools like Terraform to streamline deployment of containers and EC2 instances.
  • Release Management: Support developers with release issues, build automated release frameworks, and integrate test automation into CI/CD processes.
  • Security: Apply AWS security best practices to protect infrastructure.
  • IT Operations: Strong troubleshooting, server resource management, and database knowledge (SQL and NoSQL); experience with Linux and Windows servers.
  • Automation: Scripting and automation using AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, and SNS for event-driven patterns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, security, and compliance.
  • Proficiency with observability tools and APM solutions (e.g., New Relic).
  • Experience with IaC and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Packer).
  • IT operations skills including troubleshooting, server management, database management, and network troubleshooting (DNS, SSL, domains).
  • System administration skills: Apache/Nginx configuration, OS updates, and patching.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Node.js).
  • Ability to write clear documentation (e.g., Confluence).
