Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting project development, researching and coordinating funding opportunities, and assisting in proposal writing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, political science, or a related field, with excellent research, coordination, and tracking skills. They will be able to effectively communicate with funders and partner organizations, as well as work collaboratively with Principal Investigators.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting project development by preparing meeting materials tailored to partner audiences and liaising with Principal Investigators interested in working in the Philippines.
  • Researching and coordinating funding opportunities to fund the Philippines Socioeconomic Panel Survey (PSPS), PSPS-Substudies, and NWU PIs.
  • Assisting in proposal writing and budgeting during the proposal stage, as well as supporting the documentation and completion of proposals in IPA's Salesforce.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of training materials and knowledge products for workshops, trainings, and events, and assist in the organization of policy events, evidence workshops, and seminars.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing project plans to support the development of new projects.
  • Collaborating with Principal Investigators to identify research interests and available local partners.
  • Coordinating with funders and partner organizations to prepare meeting materials and support project development.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in economics, political science, communication, or a similar field.
  • Excellent English language skills, as well as proficiency in Tagalog.
  • Strong research and coordination skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with funders and partner organizations.
