Financial Operations Specialist
Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to work with our team. As a key member of the financial operations group, this role will be responsible for managing all accounting tasks related to assigned properties. This includes preparing commercial billing, sending tenant statements, posting leases, and other essential financial functions.
Responsibilities:- Manage accounting processes for assigned properties
- Prepare commercial billing and send tenant statements
- Post leases and update the rent roll due to changes in unit size or number
- Ensure current certificates of insurance (COI) are on file for tenants
- Process and post tenant move-outs
- Follow up and work with asset and property managers to collect delinquent accounts
- Conduct accounting processes related to property acquisition/disposition
- Accounting degree required
- Must have graduated with Latin honors (cum laude or better)
- CPA license required
- 2-4 years of full-time accounting experience
- Broad-based accounting for real estate experience is a plus
- Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
