Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team.

  • This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable API solutions.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs.
  2. Contributing to system scoping, drafting technical specifications, and conducting code reviews.
  3. Establishing and maintaining best practices for backend infrastructure with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  4. Designing and implementing robust test cases for new APIs and integration capabilities.
  5. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering knowledge sharing through code reviews and technical sessions.
  6. Troubleshooting production issues across various services and infrastructure layers.
  7. Deploying changes and executing migrations in an agile, iterative manner while ensuring backward compatibility.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on public-facing API products.
  • Deep knowledge of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs, with experience with FastAPI highly desirable.
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture and event-based technologies such as webhooks.
  • Applied AI tools and technologies in API development and integration workflows.
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced database design, with strong skills in performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and practical experience in pipeline automation.
  • Strong experience working with AWS, particularly services like API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack.
  • Familiar with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
