Financial Audit Specialist

The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting senior personnel in performing audits under their supervision, documenting test results and findings in workpapers, and researching current audit legislation for compliance with US regulations.

  • Assist in conducting audits under the guidance of senior staff members.
  • Document all testing done and findings in the respective files.
  • Research latest auditing laws and procedures for compliance.
  • Analyze client data and perform project tasks using standard methods and tools.
  • Identify complex issues and discuss them with senior staff members.
  • Recommend process improvements and enhanced client satisfaction strategies.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 3-7 years of public accounting experience in audit.
  • ERISA and Employee Benefit Plans experience is essential.
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and industry-specific rules is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, and computer skills are necessary.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service with integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
