Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a mid-senior level full-time job position.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled QA automation engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for independently and cooperatively understanding business requirements.

He/She will architect, design and implement a reliable and scalable automation framework for a real-world machine learning platform.

Additionally, the candidate will automate tests to assure functional requirements and performance KPIs are met.

Ensuring high product quality through rigorous functional and API level tests will also be part of this role.

Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly and tracking bugs will be another key responsibility.

Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved is also required.

Providing technical and group leadership to fellow team members will be essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Architecting, designing and implementing a reliable and scalable automation framework
  • Automating tests to assure functional requirements and performance KPIs are met
  • Ensuring high product quality through rigorous functional and API level tests
  • Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly and tracking bugs
  • Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Providing technical and group leadership to fellow team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience with UI Automation tools such as Selenium, and API automation works, Jenkins
  • Knowledge and experience with ROBOT automation framework using Python
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and/or J2EE technology or equivalent Object Oriented paradigm
  • Experience with automating test validation either via API or through database using Snowflake, HIVE or AWS Athena is highly desirable
  • Knowledgeable in Git workflows like branching, merging and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of Agile testing methodologies required
  • Web application testing experience required both in frontend and backend validations
  • Technically well versed in developing comprehensive test plans covering business use cases and test cases
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and SQL, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS is highly desirable
  • Experience working with container based solution is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks
