Leadership Opportunity: Credit Risk Management

BH Properties is a privately held commercial real estate investment firm focused on value-add acquisitions in office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties throughout the Western United States, along with investments in distressed debt and ground leases. The Company is vertically integrated, with offices in multiple locations across the US, and is able to acquire and close transactions without lengthy due diligence periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions; align credit strategies with company goals
  • Lead assessment of borrower creditworthiness, including individuals, developers, and institutional clients; approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis
  • Monitor performance of credit portfolio, identify emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies; ensure proper risk grading and timely reporting of potential problem loans
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 8-10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of US lending regulations and real estate market dynamics
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools
