Job Opportunity for Technical Editor

The Technical Editor position involves editing documents according to client specifications, templates, and style guides. This requires considering business goals, project deliverables, timelines, and industry requirements.

  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in quality control review, including verification of document accuracy, internal consistency, and grammar based on understanding of grammar rules.
  • Expertly performs formatting techniques consistent with guidelines, including template utilization, style application, table insertion, figure creation, overall document appearance, and function resolution.
  • Publishes documents to regulatory health standards and learns requirements for submission-ready documents and the submission structure.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership for all document quality-related tasks and services, including leading projects, coordinating with team members, managing timelines, communicating client feedback, providing strategic insight, and proposing performance improvements.

The Technical Editor communicates clearly and effectively through written and verbal means, ensures actions align with applicable standard operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices, and remains compliant with training and position standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field, an interest in regulatory writing, and at least 2 years of prior related experience. They should also have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and a background in pharmaceuticals and/or science and technical industries.
